Charny could be a community in central Quebec, Canada, south of provincial capital. It’s set on the south shore of the St. Lawrence stream. At one time AN freelance town, Charny was merged with Lavis on January 1, 2002. Over the last century, Charny has been staggeringly influenced socially and economically by the Canadian National Railway that maintains a serious national train yard within the city, field marshal Yard.
