The Chapel of the Transfiguration may be a little log chapel in mountain peak parkland, within the community of Alces alces. The chapel was sited and designed to border a read of the Cathedral cluster of peaks during a massive window behind the altar. The chapel, that was inbuilt 1925, is in hand and operated by St. John’s Episcopal Church in Jackson.
The chapel complicated consists of the chapel itself, associate entrance cover that includes alittle tower, and a storage shed. The chapel and accent buildings were designed by C.B. Loomis during a rustic vogue, conjointly referred to as Western Craftsman. The doorway cover aligns the approach on the specified axis to the Cathedral cluster and provides shelter to the chain-operated bell.
Access to the chapel is by paseo, resulting in a beveled plank door with ornamental piece of work. The 22-foot (6.7 m) by 50-foot (15 m) formed chapel has exposed log interior walls with glass windows on either facet.
Behind the altar on the chapel’s axis, an image window that will be anachronous in another setting frames a spectacular read that substitutes for a glass composition. A vestry stands to 1 facet.
