Chamisal may be a census-designated place (CDP) in Taos County, New Mexico, u. S.. It’s on the scenic High Road to Taos. The population was 301 at the 2000 census. In step with the u. S. Federal agency, the CDP features a total space of one.6 sq. Miles (4.1 km2), all of it land.

The racial makeup of the CDP was sixteen.28% White, 0.33% African yank, 0.66% Native yank, 0.33% Pacific denizen, 76.08% from alternative races, and 6.31% from 2 or additional races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were ninety two.03% of the population.
