Detail InformationEdit

The Chain of Rocks Bridge spans the river on the north fringe of St. Louis, Missouri. The japanese finish of the bridge is on Chouteau Island, (part of Madison, Illinois), whereas the western finish is on the Missouri bound.
The bridge was for a time the route utilized by U.S. Route sixty six to cross over the Mississippi. Its most notable feature may be a 22-degree bend occurring at the center of the crossing. Originally a motor route, the bridge currently carries walking and biking trails over the stream. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
