Cathedral of the Sacred Heart could be a cathedral of the Roman Christian church within the us. It’s the motherchurch of the jurisdiction of Fairbanks and is that the seat of the bishop of the jurisdiction. It’s placed within the town of Fairbanks within the state of Alaska and sits near the geographic center of the town.
Prior to the development of Sacred Heart, Immaculate Conception Church in downtown Fairbanks served because the city’s cathedral. Ground was broken for Sacred Heart Cathedral in 1962 on an oversized tract of land at the intersection of field and Peger Roads. Simply some years before, this space was mostly geographical area, till the event of residential subdivisions and therefore the A-67 website to the north of the cathedral.
