The Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City, Iowa is that the cathedral parish for the Roman Catholic bishopric of Sioux City. The Cathedral is found at one thousand pol Street in Sioux City.The Cathedral of the Epiphany had its beginnings as St. Mary’s Church in 1891. The cathedrals glass windows ar from the Mayer Company Studios in metropolis, Germany.The towers were completed in 1961 during a building project initiated by Bishop Joseph Mueller. This same project fully modified the inside of the cathedral. A replacement marble altar with a cover replaced the recent picket altar.
By 1957 it became obvious that new faculty facilities were required at each Epiphany and at Heelan. A fund drive was command and 3 tons were purchased on the corner of Tenth and pol Streets for $40,500.The new grammar school was engineered on the positioning and it opened in September 1959. The parish grammar school closed once faculties from Epiphany, St. Boniface and St. Joseph consolidated in 1987 to make Holy Family faculty.The former faculty building, currently referred to as Epiphany Center, homes offices, parish center and non secular education school rooms for the parish.
