By BUS : Buses to the district of Anjaw can be taken till the main locations in the district, including Hawai. These buses will be available from other major regions in the state including Tezu, Daparjito, Pasighat, Along and Ziro. These cities are connected to Anjaw mainly through NH 52, which runs to the district. Bus services will be widely available, with minimal rates. By Air : The nearest airport to Anini is Mohanbari Airport at Dibrugarh, Assam is about 345 Km away. This airport is very well connected to all other airports, and regular flights will be available to cities like New Delhi. Flights can also be taken from this airport to DImapur, Kolkata and even Guwahati. Flights to the airport in Dibrugarh will charge fares of around Rs 5,500 to 9,000 from the mainland.

By Train : As Arunachal Pradesh does not have a railway line. The nearest railway station is Tinsukia railway station is about 300 km from Anini.This railway station has regular trains to many important locations like Chennai and New Delhi. Many Rajdhani trains run to this railway station, and hence the trip will be very comfortable and cheap through trains. Train fares from Chennai will range around Rs 2,500 to 4,000.

By BUS : Daily bus services (both private and government) are available to Roing. From there visitors can take a cab or a bus to reach Anini. Roing-Mayudia-Anini is the best route to reach Anini.

Betla National Park

Betla National Park is located in the Palamu district of the state of Jharkhand. This place has the distinction of being the first park to gain the status of a tiger reserve under the new project known as Project Tiger. Tigers are the main attraction in this place and tourists come here to catch a glimpse of the endangered animal. Some of the animals that can be seen in the park are rhesus monkeys, owls, mouse deer, drongos, civets and elephants. The best way to get around the park is through the safaris that are arranged for tourists. There are daily safaris that are usually conducted in jeeps that belong to the forest department and they are safe as they are equipped with protective grills. The park is covered by thick forest; however sighting wildlife is not a problem. There are a few hot springs and waterfalls in the park as well and these are also included in the safaris. One of the most popular activities here is the elephant ride and these are available for short distances. However since they are popular, they might have to be booked in advance. There is a tree house located near a watering hole that is used to watch animals. The winter season is during the months from December to February.

Betla is one of the first national parks in India located in the Chotanagpur Plateau of the Palamau district of Jharkhand, India. Palamau wildlife Sanctuary was initially created with an area of 980 sq km. Later in 1989 with an area of 227 sq km of Palamau Sanctuary was declared as Betla National Park. Palamau forests are covered with raw jungles with above 969 species of plants. The forest is abode of about some 36 tigers, 61 leopards, 211 elephants, 250 bison and 174 species of birds. There have five rickety observation towers for watching wildlife in Betla Park. The sanctuary has also several historical monuments and forts, inside the Betla forests. This park is a great attraction to tourists. Large herds of Gaur and Chital are commonly seen. Elephants are seen mostly after the monsoons up to the time when water holes begin to dry up in March. Tiger, Panther, Sloth Bear, Wild Bear, Sambhar, Nilgai, Kakar, Mouse Deer, Peacock are also spotted. Large families of langurs are an ever-present attraction. It has waterfalls and hot springs too. Once the seat of Chero Kings, it also has some historical monuments and a fort Betla Fort of 16th century inside the forest. There are two rivers, Koel and Burha, which eventually empty into the famous Sone River. There are five Watch Towers from where animals can be easily observed and photographs taken.The park, at an average elevation of 100ft is open throughout the year although February, March and April are the best months to visit.

HistoryEdit

Beed’s early history is obscure. Historians speculate; based on archaeological remains, that the city might have been founded by the Yadava rulers (1173–1317) of Devagiri (Daulatabad). Beed was a part of the State of Hyderabad (Asaf Jahi Kingdom) of Nizams in British India. The Hyderabad state was annexed to India in September 1948 following a military action. Beed remained in annexed Hyderabad state until 1956 when it was included in Bombay Presidency. On May 1, 1960 Maharashtra state was created on linguistic basis and Marathi dominant Beed district became part of Maharashtra. The city has got several historical buildings of which Kankaleshwar temple is the most famous. Remains of fort are still visible on the western bank of Bensura river. Being district headquarters, the city has several administrative offices including district and municipal councils, district and session courts, collectorate and office of the superintendent of police. Hospitals, schools, colleges and radio and television stations are also located in the city.

Anthargange is a hill range situated near the city of. The rocky hills are a haven for trekkers and adventurous travelers. The range is situated in the district of in and is approximately 70 kms from Bangalore. Volcanic rock formations and its numerous cave systems are the main tourist attractions of the Anthargange range. Numerous caves and rocky outcrops will keep any traveler busy with exploration. There are also a few temples and religious sites for the spiritually inclined. Since the hill range is situated only 70 kms from Bangalore, day trips is the best option. The excellent road network to Kolar and the scenic drive make it worth the visit. For the more daring traveler, activities such as rappelling, high rope traversing, caving and trekking are available. Anthargange has many natural springs and the weather is generally very pleasant. For the seasoned traveler, a night time camping experience might be an option. However fires cannot be lit as it is wooded area. Overall Anthargange is an excellent place for a day trip; however the traveler has to be prepared for an exhausting trek, which is sure to be an exhilarating experience despite the physical effort. The best time to visit Anthargange is from October to March. During the month of may pre-monsoon rainfall can be expected. Both the North -East monsoon as well as the South-west monsoon affects the range.

Anthargange is a destination that will surely please the adventurous. The name Anthargange actually refers to a perennial spring which lies on the hills to the east of the Kolar district in Karnataka. The spring gushes its ways through some massive rock formations that come together to form a warren of big and small caves. This rocky hill range has a dense forest at the base, which is also worth exploring. The vegetation thins out towards the apex of the rock structure and the top is crowned with some thorny bushes.
