Dasara Exhibition are another major attraction during Dasara is the Dasara exhibition which is held in the exhibition grounds opposite to the Mysore Palace. This exhibition starts during Dasara and goes on till December. Various stalls which sell items like clothes, plastic items, kitchenware, cosmetics and eatables are set up and they attract a significant amount of people. A Game area containing attractions like Ferris-wheel is also present to provide entertainment to the people. Happy Man Park is a well-manicured garden located in Mysore. It is a popular place where both kids and adults can spend some enjoyable moments. It also comprises of a mini zoo, and visitors would find many ducks and hens moving around freely in its lawns. This landscaped park’s main attraction is the statue of a ‘Happy Man’ with pot belly, which resembles a ‘Laughing Buddha’. The park opens for a while in the morning for joggers, who frequent this park to take in some fresh air. Enjoy some music played in it with the help of small loudspeakers spread across the area. People of all age groups would enjoy spending some time in this park which creates an ideal environment for relaxation. They can either have a brief tour of the entire park or have their snacks while sitting in a corner.

Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA) Mysore is a traditional centre of arts and crafts. It has carved out a unique place as a distinct cultural centre. For the Mysore Maharajas, it was not just their headquarters with their royal quarters, but the cultural capital of Karnataka. With a view to preserve this unique status, they established the Chamarajendra Technical Institute in 1906, offering courses in carving, painting, bamboo works, inlay works, mat weaving, smithy, carpentry, sheet metal and other trades. Over the years, the Institute became famous by producing some of the best artists and craftsmen who brought laurels to Mysore. Later, in the 80’s, the need to bifurcate art courses with other industrial trades was felt. It was realised that the growth of Mysore’s unique artistic and cultural tradition is as important as growth in other fields. This called for an authentic art school that could boast of educational infrastructure on par with the prevailing national standards. An independent academy on the lines of the famed J.J. School of Art, Bombay, was conceived. As a result of this, the Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA) was set up in 1982.

The Shweta Varahaswamy temple is also known as the Varahaswamy temple. The temple is built in the architectural style followed by the Hoysalas. The shrine of the Goddess has an elegantly carved doorway and intricately carved pillars and tower. The Navaranga has stucco niches at the sides of the entrance. The Navaranga has beautiful mural paintings on its walls. These paintings depict incidents from the Ramayana and the Bhagavata. The Folklore Museum has a remarkable collection of folk culture. The museum has 6500 folk art and folklore articles on display and the museum is celebrated as one of the largest of its kind in Asia. The Folklore museum has one of the most important ethnographic collections of South Indian toys, puppets and household objects. The exhibits include an excellent collection of carved wooden figures from the different villages of Karnataka, rural costumes, utensils, ornaments, metal artifacts, implements and tools used in different rural professions. The museum also houses models of temples, houses decorative masks, and ceremonial headwear and has a section that displays leather shadow puppets. The museum is famous for the two wooden chariots that it has as part of its collection. The museum is close to the Kukkarahalli Lake that is part of the University campus.
