Pillar Rocks

India /Tamil Nadu /Dindigul /Kodaikanal

Pillar Rocks is located at a distance of 8 km from the lake tower, Kodaikanal. Edit

Detail InformationEdit

Pillar Rocks, is one of the famous tourist attractions, where tourists can see three granite boulders that are standing vertically shoulder to shoulder. Measuring a height of around 400 ft from the ground, these pillars are known for offering bird’s eye view of the surrounding beautiful vistas. The chambers that are between the two pillars are also known as Devil’s Kitchen. Kodaikanal is a tourist’s paradise that abounds in scenic rhapsodies. Apart from the jungle-clad hills and knolls, cascading waterfalls, meandering rivers, dense glades and rolling green carpeted valleys, the Kodaikanal Pillar Rocks are a rage with the tourists. The main activities you can indulge in are trekking, cycling, boating, rowing, fishing, horse riding, rock climbing (you need to carry your gear and also get the permission from the forest office) and romantic strolls through the pine forest and around the kodai lake.
