Oralakallu Teertha is a well-known pilgrimage spot with historical importance. Legend says that, Sri Rama, along with Seetha and Laxmana stayed at this spot during their exile. Sri Rama needed a few drops of water to put a Tilak on his forehead. He shot an arrow into a rock and water came out. This place is also known as Namada Chilume which means the spring of Tilak. Water is available at the spring throughout the year and it never dries up even in summers. This place is visited by a lot of pilgrims and is believed to be sacred. A foot print of Sri Rama is found near the spring. Other than the deer sanctuary, one can also make a visit to the Bhoganarasimha temple, Khumbi betta and Yoganarasimha temple which are situated nearby.

National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) Bangaluru branch was inaugurated by the Honourable Union Minister of Culture and Tourism. Over 90 years old, the Manikyavelu Mansion on Palace Road was once the property of the Mysore royal family. Spread over an area of 3.5 acres, the historic heritage mansion was transformed from a residency into a museum gallery, with a display space of 1551 sq. m by architect Naresh Narasimhan of Venkataramana Associates. The heritage building has been supplemented by a new Gallery Block, which adds a display space of 1260 sq. m. The new architecture is so designed, that while fulfilling the requirement of spaces needed by a modern museum, it coexists in harmony with the style and ambience of the traditional mansion. Equipped with a refurbished auditorium, an open air theatre, a reference library, offices and art storage, a cafeteria, and a museum shop cum facilitations block, the NGMA looks ahead to becoming a hub of art activities and a major cultural centre at Bangaluru. The architects of the New Wing of NGMA, M/s. TEAM were provided the requisite support in the organization of the interiors and the detailing of the display systems.The National Gallery of Modern Art consists National Treasure from late 18th century to the present. You would find some of the ancient ganjifa cards, Minutures paintings, Paintings from company period, Bengal School, and that of Raja Ravi Varma, Amritha Sher Gil, Ravindarnath Tagaore, Gaganendranath Tagore, Jamini Roy, Ramkinkar Baig, Binodh Bihari Mukerjee, Sailoz Mukerjee, M.F.Hussain. Venkatappa Art Gallery exhibits almost 600 paintings for art lovers coming from all over the world. Divided into two halls, one hall of the art gallery is dedicated to the stone sculptures, belonging to the Mathura and Khajarao School of Art. The other hall displays pottery and clay articles that belong to the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation. The art gallery also displays 20th century landscape paintings and occasional contemporary art show. The paintings of the renowned artist K. Venkatappa, including the panoramic view of the Ooty Lake, Church Hill, Nilgiri Mountains, Kodaikanal, and Sunrise in Ooty, are exhibited on the ground level. This hall also features a section dedicated to C. P. Rajaram’s wood carvings. The second level of the art gallery is solely dedicated to K.K Hebbar. His paintings are titled as Vayu, Jala, Prithivi, Sea Shore, In Space, Nagamandala, Agni, Last Glimpse and Death.

Sri Shani Mahatma Temple is dedicated to Shani Mahatma or Saturn, one of the nine celestial planets in Hindu astrology, this is one of the oldest temples devoted to this deity. The idol of Shani Mahatma is dark in colour, heavily adorned with jewellery and clothed in black. Though open on all days, the temple attracts devotees in huge numbers on Saturdays, the special day dedicated to Shani Mahatma. A chariot procession of Shani Mahatma during the annual festival would be the right time to visit the temple with the whole family. It is believed that by praying and offering poojas at Sri Shani Mahatma Temple one can lessen the negative effects of the planet on your lives. Pilgrims are seen offering small bags of Ellu Batti, black sesame seeds tied by a piece of cloth and dipped in gingelly oil, into the fireplace placed in front of the temple.

Suryanarayana Temple is dedicated to the Sun God, it is one of the most prominent temples in the world dedicated to Lord Suryanarayana.
Built in typical Chola architecture in granite with a huge tower covered with various colourful figures. The Suryanarayana Temple was built by Shri Patel D. R. Krishna Reddy in 1995. The idol of Suryanarayana is 3.25 feet in height and was brought from the Badrinath Temple along with an ornate arch. Below the deity, the idols of Kashyapa and Aditi are placed. Other idols seen are Brahma, Vaishnavi, Nagaraja, Ugranarasimha, Saraswati, Panchamukhi Ganesha and reclining Adi Sheshasayi. Though thousands of pilgrims visit the Suryanarayana Temple on a daily basis, the preferred time to visit is during the annual fair of Suryanarayana Swamy held on the Rathasaptami day in January. The 32 feet chariot is brought out only during the fair during which the pilgrims are allowed to pull the chariot.

Jumma Masjid was earlier known as Sangian Jamia Masjid. It is oldest mosque of Bangalore. The mosque is renowned for its beautiful architecture. Sri Gavi Gangadhareshwara Temple was cut out of a rock somewhere around the ninth century. It was later renovated by Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bangalore. Shri Gavi Gangadhareswara Temple of Bangalore houses a unique image of Agni, the God of Fire, probably the only one of its type in the entire South India. To the left of the main entrance, is a splendid image of Shakti Ganapathi, with 12 hands. There are four monolith pillars in the courtyard, which represent Damaru, Thrishula and two fans. A natural monolith rock formation, the Sri Gavi Gangadhareswara Temple of Bangalore is visited by thousands of devotees every year.
