Castleton-on-Hudson could be a village set within the southwestern a part of the city of Schodack in Rensselaer County, New York. The village is southeast of Albany, New York. Castleton gets its name from the exploration of the North (Hudson) watercourse by Henry Hudson. whereas traveling up the watercourse, he chanced on a Mohican Indian village noted for an oversized structure set on an increase on top of the watercourse.
