Casper is that the seat of Natrona County, Wyoming. Urban center is that the second-largest town in Equality State, per the 2010 census, with a population of fifty five,316. Solely Cheyenne, the city, is larger. Urban center is nicknamed “The Oil City” and encompasses a long history of oil boomtown and cowboy culture, chemical analysis back to development of the close Salt Creek Oil Field. Urban center is found in eastern Equality State at the foot of urban center Mountain, the north finish of the town range of mountains, on the North Platte River.
Casper has 3 locations providing theatre: The Gertrude Krampert Theatre at urban center school, Stage III Community Theatre, and also the urban center Events Center wherever associate annual series of moving street shows, street in urban center, may be seen. Urban center is home to the Troopers, a drum and bugle corps in Drum Corps International, and also the Equality State orchestra. Throughout the summer months, Casper’s town Band performs free concerts Thursday evenings at Washington Park, weather allowing.
