Calimete may be a municipality and town within the Matanzas Province of Cuba. Town was supported in 1867 by José Antonio Castañeda. In 2004, the municipality of Calimete had a population of twenty nine,736. With a complete space of 958 km2 (370 sq mi), it’s a population density of thirty one.0 /km2 (80 /sq mi).
