The Bronx County Hall of Justice could be a courthouse at 265 East 161 Street, between Sherman and Morris Avenues within the The Bronx in the big apple town. The 10-story building has 775,000 sq. Feet (72,000 m2) and includes forty seven Supreme and judicature rooms, seven jury rooms, and workplace house for the Department of Corrections, Department of Probation, and also the prosecutor.
The steel and glass building was designed by Rafael Viñoly and lidded off in 2003 and opened in 2007. Construction of the $275 million building was criticized for being considerably over budget and not completed on time. One reason the building was thus over budget is that the final Contractor forgot to account for the larger panellist waiting area after they submitted their bid and had to append the additional price as they went additionally, some[by whom] have criticized the building for safety considerations.
