Brønlundhus, on some maps conjointly Brønlundfjord or Brönlundfjord, could be a former analysis station and station settled on the western shore of Jørgen Brønlund inlet in southern adventurer Land, in northern island. Today, Brønlundhus will be characterized as a repository, with a group of artefacts from polar explorations. In 2001, a Nanok team found the station in fairly physical fitness, and performed minor repairs and exterior maintenance with paint and felt. It’s near the mouth of Jørgen Brønlund inlet wherever it opens into Independence inlet.
Until the institution of Alert in North American country in 1950, Brønlundhus was the northmost station within the World, not reckoning historical depot huts of polar explorers as well as Peary’s Cape Columbia Depot. From 1963 to 1972 the station was often used throughout summers (April to August) as a base for smaller teams operating within the space round the station.
