Borden-Carleton could be a Canadian village placed on the south shore of prince Island, fronting on the county Strait. The village was created through a merger on April twelve, 1995 of the initial port city of Borden and therefore the farming community of Carleton. The city of Borden opted to depute its standing to a village in lightweight of a declining assets with the unfinished completion of the Confederation Bridge and therefore the closure of the Marine Atlantic ferry service.
