The small yet gorgeous mountainous town Boquete, in the year 2001 was chosen by the Modern Maturity magazine of the American Association for Retired Persons as one of the four top places in the World to retire. Boquete is located among the mountainous region, at 1,200 meters between the picturesque setting of the Baru Volcano to the west and the Caldera River to the east.
