Detail InformationEdit

The Bob Kerrey footbridge could be a three,000-foot (910 m) bridge across the Missouri River between town, Iowa, and Omaha, Nebraska. It opened on September twenty eight, 2008.Interest during a landmark bridge across the Missouri River arose once Omaha and town began replacement their older crossings with beam bridges that don’t have towers (most notably the Ak-Sar-Ben Bridge).
The bridge is north of the interstate 480 (I-480) beam bridge and connects the Port of Omaha’s Miller Landing to at least one Renaissance Center within the former Dodge Park Playland in town.Due to safety issues prompted by the 2011 Missouri River floods, the doorway on the Iowa aspect was closed on July two of that year. It reopened September three, 2011.
