Well known for its sand dunes, beaches, marine turtles and traditional music, the Cape Verdean island of Boa Vista is sprawled over a 620 square kilometer area. Though most of this island is flat, Boa Vista features a few mountains including the Monte Estancia, Santo Antonio and Monte Negro.
