Detail InformationEdit

Kalo Dungar Kutch or The Black Hills of Kutch is the highest point in Kutch, Gujarat, India, at 462 meter. Kalo Dungar Kutch is probably the only place in Kutch from where a panoramic view of the Great Rann of Kutch is possible. Since Kalo Dungar Bhuj is located very near to the Pakistan border, there is an Army post at the top; beyond here, only military staffs are allowed. The Black Hills Bhuj is one of the few non-coastal locations where you feel like you are at the edge of the earth, on the brink of inconceivable vastness that fades off towards infinity. Looking out from the Kutch Black Hills, you can understand the fantastic effort that those who undertake the crossing of the Great Rann have to make. The Black Hill of Kutch is a very holy site, very nice place for the Hindus because there are temples of Lord Shiva and the community God Pachchhampir also.
