Bindu is a small village that is located in the district of the state of. The place is situated along the banks of the River Jaldhaka. The entire region is surrounded by hill and it is located close to the border regions of Bhutan. The small place is an up and coming tourist destination and many people are travelling to the place to witness its scenic beauty. The road to the village is covered by tea plantations on all sides and the drive itself is an exhilarating experience. Fishing and angling spots are plentiful throughout the region as well. You can also visit the Bindu Dam, which has been built on the Jaldhaka River. This is a good site for picnics. The Godak Village is a quaint little place that is covered with cardamom plantations. The climatic conditions of the district are pleasant and the place experiences three main seasons. Summer, winter and monsoon are the primary seasons in the place. Summers are enjoyable this is a good time to visit the area. Humidity is also very low during the summer season. The place receives rainfall during the monsoon months and it is better to avoid visiting during this season. Winters are cold and temperatures can be expected to drop during this period. Temperatures also differ according to the altitude.

Bindu is a Bengali word, means point. Bindu is the last village of West Bengal to the North, situated just before Bhutan border, About 107 kilometer from Siliguri. Bindu is surrounding with hills of India and Bhutan and mostly cover with dense forests. It is a landscape located on the banks of River Jaldhaka, which is formed after conjunction of three water streams at Bindu namely Bindu Khola, Dudh Pokhri and Jaldhaka, which originates from the Kupup lake, a small glacial lake in Sikkim. The combined streams meet at Bindu to form the Jaldhaka River.At Bindu, there is a Dam over Jaldhaka River, which are controlled the water supply to the Jaldhaka Hydel Project at Jhalong and acts as a bridge for crossing over to Bhutan.he journey to Bindu, gives you an amazing filling of nature. After cross the Coronation Bridge over river Tista, you will be entrance in Dooars region, where most of the time your journey will be through the plain, but the hills on your left side. And the whole journey will be through magnificent and magical dense green forests, where you may suddenly get a view of wild life animals.After you reach at Bindu, you will get a magnificent view of the scenic village and as well as the Himalayas range in Bhutan, which are completely snow covered during winter and sun-ray creates magical moments with the peaks after reflects sun beams on it. By Air : The Bagdogra Airport is located around 16 kilometers from the town of Siliguri and this serves the Darjeeling region. The airport is connected to many cities in India and this makes it an ideal choice. Flights are available from places such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Guwahati and Kolkata. Druk Airways offers flights from Bangkok and Paro as well. You can hire a taxi from the airport itself and the base rate they charge is Rs 7 per kilometer.

By Train : The Jalpiguri station serves the region and you can travel to the station and opt for a taxi to Bindu. Trains arrive at the station from New Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata. Second class berths cost around Rs 430 from Delhi to Jalpaiguri.
