The Museum is placed in secessional tenement-house from the beginning of 20th century. In the past it was a Citron’s Palace. The place possesses a rich collection of archives and iconography which illustrate the past of Białystok and the whole Podlasie. There is A Numismatic Cabinet with the collection of 16000 coins and medals. Museum has the unique collection of souvenirs connected with Tatar settlement in the borderland of Poland, Lithuania and Belarus. The state exposition is the model of Białystok from18th century.
