The Betts home is the oldest brick house within the U.S. State of Ohio.It is settled at 416 Clark in city within the Betts-Longworth Historic District within the historic West End. William Betts designed it on his farm north of city in 1804 on 111 acres (45 ha) rural.It was settled convenient to his brick yard. The farm at only once, extended from Central Ave. To citizen Avenue, and from Chestnut Street to Liberty Street.Today, the depository could be a place dedicated to the study of building materials and traditions. The property is owned by The Colonial Dames of America.
