Battle Mountain is AN unorganized community and census-designated place in Lander County, Nevada, us. Its primary economic base is gold mining and to a lesser extent, legalized diversion. The city is found on interstate eighty between Winnemucca and Elko.Battle Mountain is found at the confluence of 2 rivers, the Humboldt and therefore the Reese. The city is within the Humboldt natural depression between the Shoshone vary to the southeast, Battle Mountain to the southwest and therefore the Sheep Creek vary across the Humboldt to the north.
