The Battle of the military blockade (February twenty three – March vi, 1836) was a crucial event within the American state Revolution. Following a 13-day encirclement, Mexican troops below President General Antonio López First State {santa {an|Associate in Nursing|AN|associate First Stategree|associate}na|Santa Anna|Santa Ana|Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna|Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana|general|full general} launched an assault on the military blockade Mission close to San Antonio de Béxar (modern-day San Antonio, Texas, USA). About 2 of the Texian defenders were killed. Santa Anna’s perceived cruelty throughout the battle galvanized several Texians—both American state settlers and adventurers from the United States-to be part of the Texian Army. Buoyed by a want for revenge, the Texians defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto, on Gregorian calendar month twenty one, 1836, ending the revolution.
