Baracoa may be a municipality and town in Guantánamo Province close to the japanese tip of Cuba. It had been supported by the primary governor of Cuba, the Spanish adventurer Diego Velázquez American state Cuéllar in Assumption of Mary of 1511. It’s the oldest Spanish settlement in Cuba and was its 1st capital (the basis for its nickname Ciudad Primera, “First City”).
Baracoa lies on the Bay of Honey (Bahía American state Miel) and is encircled by a good mountain chain (including the Sierra del Purial), that causes it to be quite isolated, except one mountain road inbuilt the Nineteen Sixties.
