Bangar in Brunei is located in the Temburong District and also an administrative centre of this region. Being a small town it acts as an important landmark in the economic picture of the Sultanate of Brunei. It has major quarries industries and the boulders that are collected are used for the construction business. Visiting any of these quarries of Bangar is a remarkable experience. This small town is also not left behind in the field of tourism and boasts some of the best city attractions and excursions. One of the popular tourist attractions here is the Ulu Temburong National Park which is situated at the distant part of Batu Apoi Reserve.
This park is easily accessible by long boats and the diverse species of wildlife of this park make it the most visited spot. The Canopy Walkway in the park `is 50m in height offering stunning views of the virgin forest and is situated on a treetop. This is amongst the main feature and prime attraction of the park. This park is an excellent holiday destination for locals and tourists alike. The Malay villages can also be visited nearby. These have pillared houses and are filled with fruit trees. The Rainforest Field Studies Centre is another popular place to visit, which is a centre of training, teaching and research of Brunei’s lowland tropical forests.
