Bala Tripura Sundari Temple is a small shrine, located just a few kilometres away from the popular Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysore. It is dedicated to Goddess Bala Tripurasundari, considered to be one of the young forms of the Hindu deity Tripurasundari, also known as Kumarika. Literally, the word bala means child, tripura stands for three cities and sundari refers to a beautiful female. Architecturally, the temple is quite beautiful and adorned with intricate carvings.
