Detail InformationEdit

Although the original construction dates from the 14th century, diverse reforms have made the Casa de la Ciutat a building with a mixture of styles. The original construction dates from 1372, but has undergone profound reforms. The main façade is in the Neoclassical style and was created between 1838 and 1847 by Josep Mas.
The interior, far More refined, houses the notable historic Saló de Cent, with the semicircular arches and decorated wooden beams. The ‘Salo de Croniques’ is also of interest, including the luxurious black pavement and the paintings by Josep María Sert. It possesses a beautiful courtyard with a staircase and pointed Gallery . The Staircase of Honour, in black marble, was built in 1926.
