Avon Lake could be a town in Lorain County, Ohio, United States. Consistent with the u. S. Bureau of the Census, the town incorporates a total space of eleven.1 square miles (29km2), all of it land. The population was 18,145 at the 2000 census. Avon Lake was selected a Tree town USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation.
Approximately 220 acres (0.9 kmĀ²) is selected for parks and playgrounds. Avon Lake operates six community parks; Blesser Park, Miller Road Park, Veterans Memorial Park, Weiss Field, Avon Lake/Bay Village Park, and Bicentennial Park. 5 neighborhood parks managed by the town are; young woman Road Park, Inwood Park, Overlook Park, Resatar Park, and Sunset Park. The town additionally operates the Ellen Trivanovich Aquatic Center, that was restored in 2010. The new facility includes a splash ground, lazy river, regulation lanes, three water slides, and 0 depth entry. Daily admission is 3 bucks for adults and a couple of bucks for kids.
