Avalon Theatre may be a movies set within the dirt track neighborhood in southeast Portland, Oregon. Familiar for showing second-run films on 2 screens and for low costs, the rostrum has Associate in Nursing artistic movement style however Avalon’s main feature is its classic nickel arcade. The institution is operated by McKee Enterprises. John McKee purchased the Avalon in 1964. The rostrum is believed to be “Oregon’s oldest theater and also the 1st with quite one screen”. In 2008, Portland Monthly named the Avalon the “Best thanks to Stretch a Dollar” on their “Best of the City” list.
