The Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary is quite woody and hilly, which makes it an adventurous place. It is a compact woodland home to 280 species of flora, 130 species of birds, and 20 species each of reptiles and mammals. Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary comprises species of amphibians and other animals. Rare species of animals found in this sanctuary includes Nilgai, Chinkara, fox and Wolf. The sanctuary also has a watch tower, which offers a better view of the entire sanctuary.

Rampara Wildlife Sanctuary was established in the year 1988 so as to protect the natural vegetation and the wildlife of the area. The sanctuary covers around 1501hectares area of land. Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, also known as Khandheri Cricket Stadium, is a cricket stadium in Khandheri, about 10 kilometers outside Rajkot. Initially, the stadium was being used for Ranji Trophy matches, when the spectator stands were still being constructed. With the stands completed, the ground can hold 28,000 fans. The stadium is a part of a larger sports complex that will include venues for other sports such as badminton, basketball, and volleyball. It will host Saurashtra Cricket Association matches along with Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Ground. It is a state of the art cricket stadium. The media box here is similar in design to the one at Lord’s Cricket Ground, London. To facilitate spectator movement, there are several aisles between seat columns and lots of entrances/exits for the three stands. There is also a spacious passage running around the stadium, between the stands and the outer wall, to enable easy movement.

Community Science Centre and Planetarium community Science Centre is run and maintained by an NGO. The chief objective of the centre is to arrange educational programmes, workshops, seminars related to science and maths for children. Besides they also have the task of educating people in the slum areas regarding burning issues like aids etc. The Planetarium imparts information regarding planets, their positions, movements and their effects on nature by means of audio and video shows.

The Community Science Centre and Planetarium is based in an attractive building in the Race Course area in the heart of Rajkot, Gujarat. The seeds of the Community Science Centre and Planetarium were sown in the year 1979 when a group was ready to work at Rajkot on development of scientific temper and a beginning was made in the name of “Prayog” to remove belief in miracle and superstition etc. The planetarium itself was established in the year 1992.
