HistoryEdit

Yadvinder Garden, also known as Pinjore Gardens, is a Mughal garden. Oldest garden in northern India, built by Fidai Khan in 17th century AD. Seven terraces of the garden descend into the distance, instead of ascending, unlike other Mughal gardens. Spread over an area of 100 acres, the garden was planned on the classical Charbagh pattern by Nawab Fidai Khan, an architect and foster brother of the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Shish Mahal (Palace of glass), the Rang Mahal (Painted palace), and the cube-like Jal Mahal (Palace of water) were also constructed under his supervision. .
