Attara Kacheri, the Karnataka High Court, was constructed during the reign of Tipu Sultan. Earlier an old public office, it was named Attara Kacheri, meaning eighteen departments. The two-storey structure was built of red bricks in Greco-Roman (neo-classical) architecture. Ceiling of the Central Hall of the building is adorned with portraits of Sir Mark Cubbon, Commissioner of Mysore (1834 to 1861). Instituted in 1884 under the Mysore High Court Act, it was known as the Mysore High Court till 1973. Moreover, the expansive premises comprise various Corinthian columns in symmetry. Located opposite to the Vidhana Soudha, Attara Kacheri beautifully, depicts the Gothic architecture. Public Library, Venkatappa Art Gallery, Visveswaraya Industrial & Technological Museum and Government Museums are the highlights of this tourist attraction.

Seshadri Iyer Memorial Hall is a famous tourist site known especially for the classic European construction which pushes it to the top in the list of places to visit in Bangalore. It was built in memory of K.Sheshadri Iyer who was Mysore state’s Dewan for 18 long years from 1883. It was built by Lord Curzon who was the British viceroy in honor of sincerity and efficiency, Sri Sheshadri Iyer showed in his service as Dewan. The building of Seshadri Iyer hall is situated in Cubban Park which is in the central administrative area of the city of Bangalore. The building carved out in red with a beautiful rose garden in the frontage is envied for its artistic and lustful natural beauty. The site is also a reader’s paradise as the building has a library with a vast collection of 2.65 lakh books ranging from the year 0830 – 1900. The legendary building occupies about 300 sq. km.
