Mrigavani National Park spreads over an area of 700 acres. This park houses tropical dry deciduous trees and also a large number of other plant species. Various trees that grow in this wildlife park are rosewood, bamboo, sandalwood, neem and teak, to name a few. Housing more than 20 species of animals, which include Civet Cat, Cheetah, Forest Cat, Wild Boar and Hare among others, this park is also considered as a paradise for bird watchers. Different species of birds which can be easily sighted here are Curlews, Babblers, Peacocks, Flower Peckers and Partridges. Various camps are also organized here by the forest department to educate people about the concept of eco diversity. Therefore, if someone wants to enjoy in the natural surroundings amongst animals and birds, this wildlife park is the right place to visit.

The Mahavir Harina Vanasthali Wildlife Park is named after the renowned Jain saint ‘Lord Mahavira’, and was established in 1975, in commemoration of his 2500th birth anniversary. Once the Nizam’s (former Hyderabadi rulers) hunting grounds, it is now home to the beautiful black bucks with their spiral horns along with several species of birds. The deer park maintained by the Forest Department, has an undulating terrain, of 189 hectares dominated by acacia trees and grasslands. The park looks picturesque in the monsoon with the golden and white flowers of these trees on the lush green carpet of grass. Besides Acacias, neem, Bauhinias, Buteas ( Flame of the forest) and a variety of thorny scrub species are found in this dry scrub forest.The main species of fauna found here is the endangered Black Buck, the state animal of Andhra Pradesh. There are over 400 black bucks (Amtelope Cervicapara), about 500 Cheetals and large herds of wild boar. Common animals seen here are monitor lizards, mongooses, porcupines besides a variety of snakes. Several species of birds like Partridges, Quails, peacocks, Doves, pond herons, egrets, kingfishers, cormorants and birds of prey like kites, vultures etc are found here. A variety of migratory birds of over 80 species can also be seen round the year. Short-toed Eagle is another rare species nesting in this area.

Hyderabad Public Gardens, one among the biggest parks of Hyderabad, holds a prominent place among other gardens in the city. It is famous not only for the beautiful landscaping of gardens, lawns and pathways but also for the prestigious institutions situated within.Hyderabad Public Gardens is an important landmark of Hyderabad as it encloses the State Legislature, Andhra Pradesh State Archaeological Museum, Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Indira Gandhi Auditorium and Telugu Lalita Kala Thoranam, an outdoor theatre. Art lovers visiting the city often pay a visit to the State Archaeological Museum within the Public Gardens. This archaeological museum is considered to be one among the richest repositories of antiques and art objects in India. It was built in 1920 in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture by Nizam VII.Another important building situated within the Public Gardens is the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. The Legislative Assembly was inaugurated in 1985 by the then Prime Minister of India, late Sri Rajiv Gandhi. Hyderabad city boasts some of the finest gardens in the country. One of the city’s oldest and largest garden is located in the centre of the city. It was built in the year 1846 by Nizam Government. No wonder then that it is one of the most frequented spots for school picnics. This beautifully laid out garden also houses two museums the A P State Archaelogical Museum and the Health Museum, a park where kids can play, a mini school (Jawahar Bal Bhavan) for children to learn fine arts, and an auditorium (the Indira Gandhi Auditorium). The Jubilee Hall, the Lalitha Kala Thoranam (an open-air theater which is a venue for many film festivals, fashion shows and beauty pageants), the building of the Department of Horticulture and a mosque are the other fascinating places in the premises.
Beside this garden the beautiful white structure is the Andhra Pradesh Assembly building with green lawns. In 1985 a New Legislative Assembly hall was inagurated by the then Prime Minister of India Late Sri. Rajiv Gandhi.Recently the government has added a huge statue of Mahatma Gandhi sitting in the praying posture looks peaceful for all. The statue adds to the beauty of the park.

The first section deals with topics like nutrition, health (school and industrial), TB, leprosy, anatomy, cancer, malaria, immunization and such others. The second hall of the museum in Hyderabad is dedicated to Motherhood and Childbirth. ignorance and lack of dedication, commitment, progress and improvement prevailing during that time.

Health Museum is located in Hyderabad near Public Gardens. As you enter this museum you can find the words of Jawaharlal Nehru which are displayed at the entrance of the museum. The words and the museum are 50 years old. It started in 1948 and since then there were no add-ons, no deductions, no updating or divisions in the museum. Therefore, the museum still bears the same ancient look of the late 40s. The museum is as old as India and, therefore, symbolizes the era. It symbolizes the poverty.
