Manudevi is the kuldevi (family deity) of 70% people in the district. There is a nice water fall with breathtaking view. The way to the temple is a very good trek with the path going through a small river 7 times. The temple is surrounded by forested hills. A fair is also held annually. The temple is fully covered with Satpuda hills and turns lush green during Monsoon making it a more pleasured family tourist spot. Another attraction of the Manudevi is that it has a 400-feet high fountain having flowing water for 6-7 months in a year, a beautiful mini lake. Also the recent development allows even a vehicle to reach the temple.

The temple was discovered by a member of the Ingle family, Shri K Pandu Jeevan around 1251 A.D/B.C. From the excavations that took place around the area, it is believed that this is an ancient temple reflecting the culture of ancient times. There are huge massive trees that greet the visitor to the temple. It is believed that Lord Parshurama manifests himself in these trees and is actually welcoming the pilgrims for the darshan of Shree Manudevi. There are several folklore, historic documentation and stories passed down from generation to generation regarding this holy shrine.

Amalner, Shendurni and Pimprala (Jalgaon) are known as Prati-Pandharpur, meaning “as holy as Pandharpur”. Mandal, the biggest village in Amalner taluka, is situated on the bank of the Panzara river. Keki Moos Art Gallery is the world’s biggest one man painting/ photography collection of over is worth 13,000 arts master pieces situated near Chalisgaon City (85kms approx). To look after Keki Moos’s property & art, Keki wrote a ‘will’ after consulting with his Spiritual Guru (shri Brahmalin Swami, Chandra Kirnaji Tapovan Saraswati , Maharshi Kanvashram, Kanalda, dist. Jalgaon.) and formed a trust of 6 members. Keki named his trust in the name of his beloved mother as ‘Smt. Piroja Manekji Moos Art Gallery & cultural center trust, Chalisgaon’. This trust is popularly known as ‘Kala – Maharshi Keki Moos foundation’.

In 1920 keki’s family came to Chalisgaon (a small village of Jalgaon district in Maharashtra state) and started a soda bottle factory & wine shop. Little Keki didn’t like Chalisgaon so his father sent him back to Mumbai. The Handsome, Curly-haired, an extremely quiet & peaceful Keki after his primary education, he has done his graduation in the 1stclass from Wilson collage, Mumbai. Keki wasn’t at all interested in his uncle’s construction business. He wanted to become an artist. But his father called him back to Chalisgaon once again. As he had a property & liquor shop at Chalisgaon & there was no one to look after it. His father expired in between 1934-35, his mama (mother) had appoint a man to look after the shop and granted a permission to Keki to do his further education. Maharashtra state board for literature & culture, Mumbai published (1983) a book on Keki & his photography ‘KEKI MOOS – LIFE AND STILL LIFE’. India’s well known personalities like – Late. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru (Primeminister of India), Baba Amte (social worker & follower of Vinoba Bhave), Late.Jaiprakesh Narayan, Shankar Rao Dev. Late. Sane Guruji (Pandurang Sadashiv Sane). Pt. Mahadev Shastri Joshi. Maharshi Anna Saheb Karve, Narayan Hari Aapte (writter) Prof. N. S. Phadke, Shri M. Mate, Acharya Atre, Vasant Shantaram Desai etc. visited Keki’s museum.
