Shri Swaminarayan Mandir BASP (Bochasanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam) opening by Shastriji Maharaj in July 1945. Mathurbhai is supporter then started constructing a mandir but soon run into problems and requested Shastriji Maharaj to construct a mandir in his village. Pramukh Swami Maharaj, known then as Narayanswarupdas, was also involved in the construction. Shastriji Maharaj went to Atladra and showed Mathurbhai the land that had been sanctified by Lord Swaminarayan. Mathurbhai promptly purchased the land and handed it over to Shastriji Maharaj.

Train : Nearest railway stations to Gangtok are New Jalpaiguri Station and Siliguri Station. It is located at a distance of 126 kms and 114 kms respectively. Both stations are connected to all the major cities of India. and these places are well connected to Gangtok by road. Air : Gangtok Nearest airport is Bagdogra in West Bengal.
