Rema-Kalenga wildlife Sanctuary is a protected forest and wildlife sanctuary in People’s Republic of Bangladesh. this is a dry and evergreen forest and therefore the second largest natural forest in Bangladesh after the Sundarbans. it is conjointly the country’s second largest wildlife sanctuary and therefore the richest in terms of biodiversity. Rema-Kalenga wildlife sanctuary is rich in rare species plants & animals. The forest currently has thirty seven species of mammals, 167 species of birds, seven species of amphibian, 18 species of reptiles and 638 species of plants. Satchari national park is covered 243 hectare area. most typical tree species found here are Shaal, Segun, Agar, Garjan, Chapalish, Palm, Mehgani, Krishnachur, Dumur, Jamrul, Shidha Jarul, Awal, Malekas, Eucalyptus, Akashmoni, Bamboo trees, bet trees, etc. Satchari means that “seven streams”, being a respect to the streams flowing through the park, providing plentiful water for the plush semi evergreen forests and other flora, as well because the several animals resident within the park. Part of the park was at just one occasion planted with eucalyptus and tree trees, several of that still stay. Satchari national park is home to the critically vulnerable Hoolock Gibbon. Both the male and female of those fascinating primates ar distinguished by the white rings around their eyes and mouth, but the males ar black colored with white eyebrows, whereas the females have grey-brown fur that is slightly darker within the chest and neck area. HistoryEdit

M C college was established on 27 June 1892 by a local noble known as Raja Girish Chandra Roy of Roynagar, Sylhet with four lecturers and 18 students. the college was named once his maternal grandfather, Murari Chand. It had been placed beside this Raja G C school. At the start it had been a proprietary school. Raja himself used to fund the college. From 1892 to 1908 (16 years) till the death of the Raja it remained proprietary. In 1897, the first college building folded during a devastating earthquake, of that Raja Girish Chandra himself was a victim. Though he survived the quakes, the tragedy created him financially vulnerable. It had been unfeasible for him to run the college from his own resources from on it. He urged the govt to require over the college in order that it might continue as an academic institution. The govt took over the college in 1908 once the death of Girish Chandra. Then it becomes associate ‘aided’ school. For four years it remained ‘aided’. In one April 1912 become totally government administered associated was thought-about as an related college of the University of Kolkata.
