Bojjana Konda heritage site is believed to be constructed about 2000 years ago. Bojjana Konda is an eastern hill which is covered with the help of different monolithic stupas that surround the Maha Stupa. The dome of the Maha Stupa is constructed out of bricks. The stupa also houses a lingam made out of stone. According to archaeological sources, an image of Goddess Hariti was found on the foot of the hills.

The hill is named after an Englishman Mr. Ross, who constructed his house on this hill during 1864. The hill is dedicated to three different faiths; hence, it is visited by people belonging to different religions and castes. The house was later transformed into a Roman Catholic chapel named, Our Lady of the Sacred Heat. The path leading to the chapel is beautifully adorned with Catholic icons and images. Another hill houses Ishak Medina, a tomb of the Sayed Ali Medina, a Muslim saint. The Venkateswara hill has a beautiful temple dedicated to Sri Venkateswara Konda. The hill offers a beautiful view of various beaches, shipbuilding yard and the Visakhapatnam Port.

Dolphin’s Nose, Visakhapatnam,  is a huge rock land resembling the shape of a dolphin’s nose, and an eye-catching attraction in Visakhapatnam. The headland is 174 meters high and at an altitude of 358 meters, projecting into the sea. It is a single and gigantic hillock shaped like a dolphin’s nose owing to natural process hence the name Dolphin’s Nose. It guards the Visakhapatnam harbour and paves the way for sea water coming into the land area thus facilitating anchoring of ships. A renowned powerful light house is positioned on the summit of the hill and guides the approaching ships to Visakhapatnam. The light house is useful for shippers as it gives out a light beam that could be seen as far as 65kms out at sea and flashes every 10 seconds. Other attractions on the hill and nearby are the Ross Hill, the highest peak of this place which also has a church named St John’s Church, Dargah Konda hill, which has a mosque cum dargah named Ishq Madina, and Venkateshwara Konda hill, which has a temple of Lord Venkateshwara.

The place houses different varieties of bricks that are used for construction and groups of Buddhist monuments, which are found during excavations in 1906. The architectural remnants on the eastern hill include a series of rock-cut caves, numerous groups of monolithic dagobas and a rock-cut stupa with extensive structural remains. Apart from this, a stairway is also found, which leads up to a double-storeyed cave. The entrance of the cave is adorned with huge dwarapalas that are located on each side of the doorway. Being rectangular in shape, the cave chamber is segmented into 20 compartments by four cross rocks of 16 massive pillars. Besides this, the place is also famous for housing the ancient statues of Buddha in various postures.

Katiki falls, Visakhapatnam,  is in Araku near Borra Caves in Vishakhapatnam in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Katiki waterfall is on the Gosthani River. The name of the falls is derived from the name of the village nearby. The waterfall is about 50 feet high and the water cascades down to a pond at the bottom. It is considered as a beautiful waterfall in Araku Valley when it is as its best. The Katiki Waterfalls is also believed to be named after the mythological figure Kaitiki.
