It is a modern building where classical music concerts are held. The auditorium is an ideal place for listening to music measuring over 42,500 square metres. Barcelona’s Auditorium, designed by Rafael Moneo, was one of the main buildings that was designed in the second half of the eighties as part of an urban restructuring programme.
It lies strategically in front of the National Theatre in between the bustling streets of Gran Via, Diagonal and Meridiana. The 42,500 square metre building is based next to a Central patio. Furthermore, it is the headquarters of the Catalonia Higher School of Music.
