The AT&T Center, once referred to as the SBC Tower, Transamerica Building, and Occidental Life Building, could be a 452 feet (138 m) tall edifice in South Park, l. A. , California. Designed to accommodate the offices and laptop center of the Occidental life assurance Company, it had been completed in 1965 and has thirty two floors. It’s thirty second tallest building in l. A. , and was the 2d tallest (after the l. A. Town Hall) once it had been completed. The International titled building was designed by William Pereira & Associates.
The building is an element of a 12-acre (49,000 m2) advanced originally referred to as Occidental Center which has a 225,000-square-foot (20,900 m2) building at 1149 S. Broadway, a 300,000-square-foot (28,000 m2) building on Hill Street, 3 parking decks with three,500 spots, and a 6-acre (24,000 m2) plot on the corner of Eleventh and Olive Streets. The 3 buildings square measure connected by underground pedestrian tunnels.
