ASI ART Museum hosts diverse art exhibitions. In the winter the emphasis is on exhibitions by various Icelandic contemporary artists. In the summer the museum exhibits works from its outstanding collection of 20th century Icelandic art, which includes some renowned paintings by the so called “Old Icelandic masters” such as Jóhannes S. Kjarval og Jón Stefánsson, as well as some masterpieces of The Cobra painter Svavar Guðnason. The museum is located in an enchanting villa which used to be an artist residence and atelier in the 1930s, and is known for its beautiful exhibition spaces. Open daily except Mondays from 1pm-5pm.
