Artibonite is one among the 10 departments of Haiti. With a district of four,984 sq. kilometers it’s Haiti largest department.The region is that the country main rice-growing space.The main cities area unit Gonaives (the capital) and Saint-Marc. AN insurrection tried unsuccessfully to declare Artibonite independence in February 2004.
