Apizaco may be a town in Apizaco Municipality placed close to the geographic center of the Mexican state of Tlaxcala, just about twenty five minutes by automotive from the state’s capital town of Tlaxcala. The town gets its name from the Nahuatl language words “ātl” (water), “pitzāhuac” (thin), and also the suffix “co” (place), forming “Āpitzāco”, or roughly “thin water place”. Those seeking to achieve the port of Veracruz by railroad from national capital should travel through Apizaco. The town began due to its location on this railroad.
The town is that the second in importance once the capital city, Tlaxcala. It’s of major business and trade price to the state as a result of it’s halfway on the road between national capital and also the port of Veracruz.
