Ankara, the capital of Turkey is home to several impressive buildings, important landmarks and archeological remains is an important commercial and industrial city. Foreign visitors to Ankara usually like to visit the old shops in Yokuşu (Weavers’ Road) near Ulus, where myriad things ranging from traditional fabrics, hand-woven carpets and leather products can be found at bargain prices.Hisar, a Byzantine Citadel and the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations are included in the list of top places to visit in Ankara. The city is also dotted with several archeological remains such as Roman Theatre, Roman Baths and Temple of Augustus.
