Andhalgaon, often called as the dark village, Apart from being the prime supplier of the kosa silk cloth, the village is renowned for a huge weaving industry and producing silk bordered cloths. The village premises are crowded by natives on Wednesdays, the day when a weekly market for sale of cattle is organised. The village has a primary school, a maternity home, an allopathic dispensary, a veterinary aid centre, asarvodaya sarvodaya centre and a library. Besides this, the village also has a sub-post office and a police outpost. Tourists can reach this site by buses and taxis as the village is well connected with Mohali by a metalled road.
