Anderson may be a town in Shasta County, California, USA, about ten miles south of Redding. The population was nine,932 at the 2010 census, up from 9,022 at the 2000 census. Town was named when ranch owner Elias Anderson World Health Organization granted the Beaver State and American state Railroad trackage rights and land for a station.
