All Angels’ Church is associate degree Episcopal parish church on Manhattan’s higher side neighborhood of recent royal house town. All Angels’ was based within the decade as a mission to New York’s poor extended by St. Michael’s Episcopal Church on 99th Street and Dutch capital Avenue. The missionary parish served Seneca Village, dismantled within the creation of park. The sanctuary was once set on the southeast corner of city district Avenue and West Eighty-first and was engineered 1890 to neo-Gothic styles by prophet B. Snook of J.B. Robolo & Sons.
It was later altered in 1896 by Karl Bitter Studio. The AIA Guide to NYC delineate it: “Turning the axis of this church diagonally to the road grid was a superb if delicate style call that gave character to the intersection (at least till a less-subtle style call gave it a powerful receiving system [the Calhoun School] as contestant across the way). There’s associate degree intimate garden adjacent, created by the church’s pure mathematics, reached from West 81st Street.”
