Aleutians West Census space may be a census space placed within the U.S. State of Last Frontier. It contains most of the archipelago, from Attu Island within the west to Unalaska Island within the east, similarly because the Pribilof Islands, that lie north of the Aleutians within the Bering Sea. As of 2010, the population is five,561. It’s a part of the Unorganized Borough and so has no borough seat. Its largest town is Unalaska.
The census space incorporates a total space of fourteen,117 sq. Miles (36,560 km2), of which, 4,397 sq. Miles (11,390 km2) of it’s land and nine,720 sq. Miles (25,200 km2) of it (68.85%) is water.
As of the census of 2000, there have been five,465 people, 1,270 households, and 736 families residing within the census space. The population density was one.24 individuals per square measure (0.48/km²). There have been a pair of,234 housing units at a mean density of zero.51/sq mi (0.20/km²). The racial makeup of the census space was forty.04% White, 3.02% Black or African yank, 20.95% Native yank, 24.59% Asian, 0.62% Pacific island-dweller, 7.32% from different races, and 3.46% from 2 or additional races. 10.48% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. 13.89% reportable speaking Tagalog reception, while 11.22% speak Spanish, 5.97% Aleut, and 4.51% Vietnamese .
