The Alaskan Native Language Center, established in 1972 in Fairbanks, Alaska, could be a centre specializing in the analysis and documentation of the Alaska’s Native languages. It publishes grammars, dictionaries, lore collections and analysis materials, similarly as hosting an intensive archive of written materials with reference to Eskimo, North Athabaskan and connected languages.
The Center provides coaching, materials and consultation for educators, researchers et al operating with Alaskan Native languages. The closely related Alaska Nativen|Alaskan} Language Program offers degrees in Central Yup’ik and Inupiaq at the University Of Alaska Fairbanks, and works toward the documentation and preservation of those languages.
